Over the past 24 months I have been pursuing my
interest in making paintings relating to a number of concerns, particularly
regarding the relationship of paint and surface. My motivation to create and
invent, often transpires that the work is layered, with explorations of colour
relationships through different histories of painted incidents. Drawing and
mark-making play a role and subject matter taken from the everyday, haphazardly
inform the decision-making.
By harbouring an open-ended approach in making, I hope to allow for discoveries that through exploring the pictoral space also reflect the physical beauty of the medium.
My work is for sale and I am always looking for new spaces to exhibit my work.
